OMG, is this a race that I actually didn’t do?
Yes, because of course I didn’t run in heels. I wouldn’t run in heels. You think I’m THAT crazy? And anyway, I’ve done it before–it was called “running for buses in England”–and it never ended well.
However, I most enthusiastically–as in hooting and hollering–spectated the 4th Annual Stiletto Run two Wednesdays ago, where a whole lot of ladies and gentlemen ran in heels last week to raise money for ovarian cancer research. I went to support, cheer, sniffle (you know how I get all overcome at charity races) and marvel.
And, even though it’s been a week and a half since the race, I still can’t get over my amazement and sheer shoe envy.
Because those shoes deserve to be gawped at over and over again.
May I someday be cool enough to own such awesome shoes–and be able to run half a kilometer in them or at least find out ahead of time that you could, in fact, walk the charity race… because I would have been all over that race.
Especially if it meant parading alongside shoes covered in over one hundred Kit Kat wrappers (go, Best Shoe Winner)!

That looks like the ideal race to ogle over shoes, I mean spectate at.
